Project H6 - 40Ar-39Ar geochronology and halogen and noble gas geochemistry of mineralising systems
The aims are:

To refine the ‘mica-in-pyrite dating technique.

To test the feasibility of dating fluid inclusions using the 40Ar/39Ar dating method.

To develop analytical techniques to measure the noble gas and halogen compositions of fluid inclusion samples.

To determine the noble gas and halogen geochemistry of ore fluids from major ore deposits in the flagship terranes.
