Project M9 - Numerical modelling technology developments
The overall aim of the project is to deliver a combination of knowledge, data, technology, know-how and skilled personnel which collectively will enable an expert service delivering a new predictive targeting service to the global exploration industry, both in the remaining years of the pmd*CRC and in a commercially viable service thereafter. To succeed in this, the project needs to:
- Generate algorithms and codes which permit predictive modelling (relating to at least some aspects of ore formation) delivering targeting efficiencies for the majority of hydrothermal ore deposits.
- Deliver a 10 times improvement in modelling efficiency in July 2008 relative to July 2005 through improved systems, software, interfaces and hardware
Educate new expert users and develop broader based interest and support in the application of these technologies for exploration targeting.
