The pmd *CRC welcomes the opportunity to work with the exploration industry to locate and prioritise targets that have a much higher probability of success compared to targets selected by conventional, empirically-based methods.
The key to our approach is assessing mineral prospectivity in terms of a four-dimensional understanding of the geological evolution of mineralised districts or terrains: even well-explored areas can be seen in a new light to generate ideas on where the next big discovery is likely to be made.
Our core technology uses computational simulation to understand how known ore systems formed. By using that understanding to assess the relative prospectivity of untested targets, we are able to provide a level of prediction of the characteristics of as yet undetected ore deposits.
Our goal is to ensure that mineral exploration remains the growth investment of choice in the global mining industry.
